Our research program aimed at high school students has been launched. The project’s goal is to deepen knowledge through hands-on experience. The workshops focus on photonics and materials chemistry. Students will work under the guidance of experts from the Łukasiewicz Research Network – PORT Institute in a modern educational laboratory.
During the sessions, students will learn how to set up a scientist’s workplace, formulate hypotheses, and independently conduct experiments, analyses, and summarize research results.
After several months of work, the participants will present the outcomes in their schools and at the Ł-PORT headquarters. The program consists of 11 meetings from January to June.
The workshops will involve 36 students from 6 selected high schools in Wrocław: Adam Mickiewicz General High School No. III in Wrocław, General High School No. V in Wrocław, K.K Baczyński General High School No. VII, Bolesław Chrobry General High School No. XII in Wrocław, Polonia Belgijska General High School No. XIV, and the Bilingual General High School EKOLA in the EKOLA School Complex.
The organizer of the classes is the Polish Center for Technology Development Foundation, the PORT Center for Technological Education – Gardens of Experience, in cooperation with OSRAM OptoSemiconductors GmbH.
